I take too many photos. That is the whole origin story.

Hi. I am Tony Wilson Jesuraj. I take photographs to satisfy my soul, and I write software to satisfy my soul and my pocket.

Every photograph is somebody's moment. A daughter mid-laugh, a random child's smile, a bird that finally sat still. It happened once. It is not happening again. You pressed the button to keep it.

And you know when you got it. The shutter goes, and before you even look, you know. Something landed.

Then you get home with four hundred of them, and the one you want is buried in the rest. Judging the things you love is much harder than photographing them.

So I built the boring half

Every tool I tried wanted a subscription, or wanted my photos uploaded first. I wanted neither.

So m3cull does one job: it gets you through the pile. Press a key and the next photo is already there. No spinner. No loading. No waiting.

That is the whole difference. Half a second of waiting per frame is twenty five minutes of staring at nothing on a three thousand frame card. And m3cull is free.

It marks the sharpest of each burst. It never keeps or rejects anything. You decide.

What it costs, honestly

It costs nothing. Today, and for everything you can see right now.

Forever? I hope so, but I will not promise what I cannot control. Here is what I will promise: everything m3cull does today stays free. If I build bigger things later, those might cost money. This part will not.

Am I money minded? Of course I am. But right now I would rather a hundred photographers used this and told me what broke than one paid for it and quietly gave up.

Why it collects nothing

Two reasons. Both honest.

They point the same way. You get the same result either way. Take the win.

The community, so far

I shoot with friends. Same evening every time: everybody gets home, everybody puts the card in, and nobody wants to start.

I shoot birds and streets. You might shoot weddings, or football, or a school sports day on a phone. m3cull only gets good if it survives all of that.

So there is a group. One place, any camera, any subject: post your frames, tell me where m3cull fell over, and shout for the feature you want next.

It is a WhatsApp group and I add people by hand, which tells you roughly how big it is.

Right now the community is me. Come in and make it two. Every feature after this one comes from whoever is in there.
